Art through the Centuries
A six-week course on the world of art and artists
Tuesdays, January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12. 7 PM to 8:30 PM.
Explore the world of art! With illustrated lectures and discussions, Sister Denise will lead you through centuries of art beginning with the cave dwellers and ending with contemporary times. You will learn how peoples of various ages gave visual expression to their values and cultures. Come, investigate ancient culture, the Renaissance, the world of the Impressionists and many other cultures and times through the art of the people.
Presenter: Sister Denise Schonhardt, O.S.B., holds a Bachelor of Science degree in history from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND, and Bachelors and Masters of Fine Arts degrees from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. At present, she serves as director of development and communications for Mount Saint Benedict Monastery.
Suggested Fee: $78 for the series; $15 for each class.
