Sister of the Day: Sister Eleanor Stadwick

Sister Eleanor (Aloysia Statkiewicz) Stadwick  1910-1996

Sister Eleanor, undaunted by any assignment, was teacher or principal or both in many schools in the Crookston diocese.  She mentored many a budding teacher.   She used her artistic abilities in and out of the classroom.  She was one of the first to work in our fledgling candle-making industry.  Sister Irene (Stephania) was her sister.

This is the 100th Centennial of the Sisters of Saint Benedict of Crookston.  Because of our Centennial year, we are featuring a Sister of the Day every Weekday and memories of buildings and happenings on weekends throughout the entire year.   Take a “Peek Behind the Veil” and watch this space every day during the entire 2019 year!  To see past Sisters of the Day or Peeks Behind the Veil, click here:  https://msb.net/sister-of-the-day-archive/
