Sister Ernesta LaCoursiere 1905 – 1974
Service was Sister Ernesta’s watchword. She was often the first to volunteer for extra work and the last to leave the job at the end of the day. She taught primary grades in the school we staffed in Texas. When the traditional school year wound down she put her energy into long days of teaching migrant summer school. Her sisters are Sisters Baptiste and Gabriel.
This is the 100th Centennial of the Sisters of Saint Benedict of Crookston. Because of our Centennial year, we are featuring a Sister of the Day every Weekday and memories of buildings and happenings on weekends throughout the entire year. Take a “Peek Behind the Veil” and watch this space every day during the entire 2019 year!
