Sister of the Day: Sister Irene Cote

Sister Irene Cote 1893-1979  Founding member

Mount Saint Benedict community was founded in May 1919 and Sister Irene took her final vows there that very summer. Her greatest joy was prayerful care of the chapel.  She had an innate interest in and concern for everyone she served.  She embraced retirement and was so glad it was no longer, “rush, rush, rush.”

This is the 100th Centennial of the Sisters of Saint Benedict of Crookston.  Because of our Centennial year, we are featuring a Sister of the Day every Weekday and memories of buildings and happenings on weekends throughout the entire year.   Take a “Peek Behind the Veil” and watch this space every day during the entire 2019 year!  To see past Sisters of the Day or Peeks Behind the Veil, click here:  https://msb.net/sister-of-the-day-archive/
