Sister of the Day: Sister Karen Violette

Sister Karen Violette   Birthday June 18

Sister Karen recalls the moment she decided she wanted to be a Sister. She was a second grader serving hot cocoa to her classmates after Mass and noticed how good it felt to serve others.  She has done that in many roles and was—even at a small Benedictine community in Belgium.  And now she serves by receiving our guests, accompanying some of us to medical appointments and thinking up ways to have a good time.   Sister Justina is her sister.

This is the 100th Centennial of the Sisters of Saint Benedict of Crookston.  Because of our Centennial year, we are featuring a Sister of the Day every Weekday and memories of buildings and happenings on weekends throughout the entire year.   Take a “Peek Behind the Veil” and watch this space every day during the entire 2019 year!  To see past Sisters of the Day or Peeks Behind the Veil, click here:  https://msb.net/sister-of-the-day-archive/
