Sister Michelle McGurran  1930-2017   Prioress (1993-1999)

Energetic, extroverted, passionate, Sister Michelle’s commitment to hospitality and justice was evident whether she was at work or at play.  She was a teacher, a pastoral minister, our ninth prioress and the first woman chaplain of the Minnesota Senate.  She knew how to make a good German strudel.
