In the early years of the Mount Saint Benedict Community, one of the sisters’ ministries that earned money to sustain the community was the collection of and production of honey. Many awards were won at fairs with the delicious products that were created. In addition, the beeswax from the combs was used for creative and beautiful candles for many, many years.
